CONTENUR, together with the company PT Groen Indonesia, is working on the country's first underground containerisation pilot.
The pilot project consists of two underground SCT3 systems to be installed in Surabaya city centre, Indonesia.
The project will take a year, and after its viability has been confirmed, more units will be installed next year. Surabaya is the city with the highest awareness in waste management in Indonesia and it is therefore seeking to be a pioneer in containerisation systems and waste management.
This is the main reason why they have opted for underground containers, in addition to improving the appearance of the central area of the city.
CONTENUR SCT systems are characterised by their durability and low maintenance costs, and have been designed for use in harsh environments with an average lifespan of over 15 years.
