CONTENUR UK was proud once again to be the Principal Sponsor of the LARAC Conference and Celebration Awards, the leading event in the local authority waste and recycling calendar. This year marked an important milestone as LARAC celebrated its 40th Anniversary. The conference brought together more than 500 participants from 170 local authorities for two days of expert presentations, interactive workshops, and valuable networking opportunities.
As a longstanding supporter of LARAC and its members, CONTENUR was delighted to play a key role in recognising four decades of progress and collaboration within the UK waste and recycling sector. The event provided an opportunity to explore the latest industry developments, including extended producer responsibility, deposit return schemes, waste minimisation, food waste reduction, contamination prevention, and the optimisation of resource management.
The LARAC Conference continues to be one of the highlights of the year for the CONTENUR UK team. It offers the chance to meet with existing clients, engage with new contacts, and share insights into how CONTENUR’s innovative container solutions support local authorities in delivering efficient and sustainable waste collection services.
The team also enjoyed taking part in the pre-conference networking evening, which included the popular quiz that has become a firm favourite among attendees. The celebrations continued into the LARAC Celebration Awards, where the achievements of local authorities and individuals from across the country were recognised for their outstanding contributions to waste and recycling.
